THE PEOPLE

Carla and Kevin are honored to be the current stewards of Resonance Vineyard. They purchased the site from Alan Rathmaker in June 1990. Their home is surrounded by grapevines and their children, Kaitlyn and Nathan worked on the farm during their high school years. Three young grandchildren visit frequently to play, and they will also find future opportunities to participate.

Carla and Kevin have been instrumental in the growth of the Oregon wine industry for over 30 years. Kevin has served on the Oregon Wine Board for 8 years, including two terms as President. Carla served as Director of the Yamhill County Wineries Association in the mid-90’s. They co-own Oregon Vineyard Supply (OVS) which sells equipment, posts, wire, spray protection, agricultural chemicals, harvest supplies and more to the rapidly expanding local wine industry. Results Partners, a vineyard management and development company is also co-owned by the Chambers. Results Partners farms over 800 acres of vineyards in the northern Willamette Valley. In 2005, Kevin was named Oregon Wine Industry Man of the Year, and in 1985 he was Oregon Wine Retailer of the Year.

The Chambers produce Resonance Vineyard, estate bottled wines at the Carlton Winemakers Studio under the corporate name of Reed & Reynolds. Reed is Kevin's middle name, and has been the middle name of the first-born male of his family for several generations. Reynolds is Carla's maiden name. The Chambers felt the two names offered a pleasant and memorable alliteration, as well as designated their partnership and teamwork that created the vineyard. Nevertheless, after a protracted and expensive trademark battle with a California winery in 2003, the Chambers chose to change the vineyard name to Resonance.

They chose Resonance as a better name to communicate their efforts to work in harmony with nature and the cosmos. Resonance further illuminates how the wines produced from fruit grown at their farm translate the unique terroir. Perhaps most importantly, Resonance reveals their belief that we are all energetic (spiritual) beings having a human adventure. May you resonate with the energy that is Resonance Vineyard. Enjoy!
